Hartway Galvanizers Canning Vale

The Canning Vale plant has over 6 acres of land that is fully bituminised to create two massive laydown areas. This enables easy unloading, storage and loading of steelwork by forklift, including cradles.

The factory runs in two shifts beginning at 5.00am and running well into the evening. This gives the capacity to galvanize 2000 tonnes per month with the availability of overnight service for urgent items.

There are two galvanising baths designed to cater for large projects and the smallest washers and bolts. The main galvanizing bath measures 12.6 metres in length by 1.4 metres in width and 2.7 metres in depth. This allows us to galvanize structural steelwork up to 5.1 metres in width and single items up to 18.3 metres in length by double end dipping.

The centrifuge plant is the only one of its kind in Western Australia and offers a service which caters for the bolt industry, chain, small components such as washers, castings, reinforcement rods and fixings. The bath measures 3.5 metres in length by 1 metre in width and 1.8 metres in depth. Items up to one metre long can be "spun" and with the high centrifical forces used in the process this throws excess zinc from threaded items allowing pre galvanized nuts to screw straight on.
