HEAVIEST ITEM EVER DIPPED

Hartway Galvanizers recently galvanized the heaviest single item in our history of operation. Completed at the Naval Base factory as part of the Dampier Incremental Project for Pacific Industrial Company; twelve individual fifteen metre long columns weighing over ten tonnes each were put through the galvanizing process. This required the help of Matt Clarke and his team at The Lifting Company who designed and fabricated a specialised lifting system using three gantry cranes, a spreader bar and chains capable of withstanding the tough galvanizing conditions. Each column took two hours just to galvanize.
